Welcome to the Cyberinfrastructure Specialty Group of the Association of American Geographers!

Our objectives:

The Cyberinfrastructure (CI) Specialty Group strives to enhance geographic research and scholarship on matters relating to cyberinfrastructure by:
a. encouraging the exchange of ideas and experience among geographers studying technical, social, economic, policy, and cultural aspects of CI.
b. providing a communication channel between CI funding agencies and geographic practitioners.
c. promoting research and advancement in topics related to CI.
d. encouraging reflection on the roles of geographers in CI.

CI Specialty Group Officers Election will be held on Apr.18, 2008 8:15-9:15pm during the CISG business meeting. Nomination now is open, you can either register into our wiki or send an Email to election@cisg.gmu.edu to nominate and vote. Open positions include: Chair, Vice Chair, BOD (three positions), Secretary/Treasure and Student Director.
