Call for Papers/Abstracts:
Special Issue of "Geospatial Cyberinfrastructure for Polar Science" to be published with Computers & Geosciences
To capture recent developments in Geospatial Cyberinfrastructure (GCI) for Polar Science research, we invite submissions to a special issue of Computers & Geosciences. The special issue will feature "research on novel computer & IT methods in the polar sciences, such as spatial analysis, modeling, simulation, statistical and artificial intelligence methods, e-science, geoinformatics, geomatics, geocomputation, image analysis, remote sensing, and geographical information science."
Topics include but are not limited to: GCI and polar science
Polar science and climate change using cyberinfrastructure
Polar geological science using cyberinfrastructure
Analytical and modeling techniques for polar studies
Computing and observations for polar studies
Intelligent computing methods for polar studies
We invite abstracts up to about 500 words in length that include introduction, methodology, experiments, contribution, and references (up to 4) of a paper. Submissions will be reviewed to select about 10-15 full paper submissions, of which 8-10 papers will be accepted to be published after the journal's peer review process.
